Abelard consults and provides trainings to hospitals, colleges, and organizations on a variety of topics including suicide awareness, integrative health, team building, restraint reduction, Myers Briggs, mental health, tele- mental health, and cultural awareness.Īs the director and owner of Abelard Psychotherapy Inc. Abelard is an advanced practice nurse with over 22 years of experience in mental health nursing including academia and clinical practice. In the spring of 2016, Gallagher led a group of 19 Nobles students to Rwanda where they served the Shooting Touch communities.ĭr. Gallagher also teaches history and was the Varsity Baseball coach at Nobles from 2004 - 2010. He graduated from Nobles in 1990 and returned to work at his alma mater in the 2000/2001 school year. Gallagher has served as the Athletic Director at Nobles for the past seven years. He was honored in 1998 by the Boston Globe as the Massachusetts Coach of the year for his title-winning team. Before coming to Nobles, Gallagher coached the Weston Boys Basketball Team to two Dual County League championships, two North Sectional Championships, and one State Championship in 1998. He also comes off the 2016 season having led his team to their 5th consecutive New England Class A Title.
Gallagher has led the Nobles Girls Basketball Program to 13 ISL championships in 15 years while compiling an overall career record of 402-97. A graduate of Nobles in 1990, Alex Gallagher has a passion for the game of basketball coupled with a devotion to those he coaches.
